There’s only one thing we at Happiest Baby love as much as children—and that’s their parents! That must be why so many work here! So, in honor of Father’s Day, we wanted to give a big shout out to all the dads who are changing diapers, securing swaddles, pushing swings, busting out Dad jokes, and—above all—showering their littles with love. And please allow us to shine an extra special spotlight on some of the A+ dads here at Happiest Baby who work tirelessly to make sure you and your baby feel as supported as they do.

How has your job at Happiest Baby prepared you for parenthood?
I actually began applying for jobs with Happiest Baby shortly after my daughter was born, as I was able to see first-hand how impactful SNOO was. My daughter loved SNOO, and I wanted to work for a company that was striving for safer, happier, and healthier babies and parents. What could be better?!

How has being a parent made you a better coworker?
Being a parent has taught me many valuable lessons, such as time management skills and patience. And I’ve realized that I want my daughter to be proud of the company I work for.

Do you have any favorite Dr. Karp-ism or advice that has helped you as a parent?
There are so many! Dr. Karp was practically Jules’ third parent when she was a baby! We’ve read The Happiest Baby on the Block cover to cover multiple times, used the 5 S’s, and SNOO helped us immensely! Our daughter has been a great sleeper pretty much from the first moment we put her in SNOO. And when it comes to toddlerhood, we LOVE Dr. Karp’s tips about gossiping. It’s incredible how effective this little trick is. I can’t recommend it strongly enough!

As a working parent, how do you strive for work/life balance?
I’m so fortunate to work for a company that so obviously cares about working parents and their babies. Happiest Baby has supported my ability to work remotely and to have flexibility when required. For example, I have no problem taking a call slightly earlier or slightly later than most would if it means I can be at dinner, bathtime, and bedtime every night.

Can you sum up your experience as a dad in one word?
Life-affirming.

How has your job at Happiest Baby helped prepare you for parenthood?
My son was 2 months old when I started at Happiest Baby, so I was very grateful to be exposed to so much baby advice! I had a number of chats about Liam with Dr. Karp, and he made sure to give me guidance and every parenting tip I needed! And just being a company where so many employees are parents was a great benefit.

How has being a parent made you a better coworker?
I have become a better employee! Being a parent increased my sense of sharing responsibilities and assisting my coworkers whenever needed. Being a dad also made me more patient and understanding in my management position.

Do you have any favorite Dr. Karp-ism or advice that has helped you as a parent?
Aside from the famous 5 S’s, Dr. Karp gave me great advice about swaddling our baby. He talked to me about being patient and waiting for Liam to calm down for a few minutes before swaddling. If Dr. Karp didn’t share that with me, I would’ve given up swaddling. His advice made a huge difference!

And, of course, SNOO! We started using SNOO right after I started working here! We noticed a big change right away with him being able to sleep longer at night and during naps. It made us sleep better, too, knowing that our baby was sleeping safely on his back.

As a working parent, how do you strive for work/life balance?
The flexibility and the option to work from home has been a great advantage for me at Happiest Baby! I have a long commute, which would’ve made me have to leave for work before my baby woke up—and return home after he was asleep. Being able to work from home helped a lot. I get to watch my baby grow every step of the way!

Can you sum up your experience as a dad in one word?

How has being a parent made you a better coworker?
Being a parent has made me more aware of time—and the challenges of not having enough hours in a day! So, I try to make the hours I do have count and to be respectful of everyone else’s time, too.

As a working parent, how do you strive for work/life balance?
It’s definitely not easy striking the right work/life balance, but Happiest Baby has been instrumental in helping me do that. I’m fortunate enough to be a remote employee, which allows me to start the day early or return later in the night to finish things up, to drop the girls off at school, and be there for after-school activities.

Has any Happiest Baby product made parenting easier?
Both of my kids love their SNOObie! They love playing with it, setting the sounds and colors, and having it on when winding down and getting ready for bed.

Can you sum up your experience as a dad in one word?
Fulfilling.

Adi Orucevic, dad to Leti, 15 months

Dads of Happiest Baby: Adi Orucevi

How has your job at Happiest Baby helped prepare you for parenthood?
Working at Happiest Baby has exposed me to so many babies! Plus, I’ve learned a lot directly from Dr. Karp about handling babies, how to calm fussy ones, and how to interact with them. So, when Leti was born, I already had some basic knowledge and confidence to springboard from as I grew into fatherhood. Obviously, knowing all about the 5’s, having access to a SNOO, and being able to ask Nina and Dr. Karp direct questions about parenting have been paramount in the beginning stages of my daughter’s life!

How has being a parent made you a better coworker?
My Dad Joke game has excelled fantastically!
