Machine wash in cool or cold water with like colors. Never use hot water or chlorine bleach. Tumble dry on a low heat setting, making sure to dry the sack completely or air dry for best results!
Please Note: Before putting Sleepea in the washer, always attach the arm bands & leg flap to each other and zip the sack completely closed. That will avoid damage that might be caused by the fastener clinging to other items in the load.

Sleepea’s inner flaps give babies the womb-like embrace they love while keeping even mini escape artists securely wrapped and preventing the wild arm movements and nose whacks that can startle them awake. And, unlike most baby swaddles, Sleepea allows for safe arms-out swaddling, making it the perfect transitional swaddle for babies that are almost ready to wave bye-bye to their swaddling days.
For the first 6 months of life, babies should only sleep on the back. If your baby can roll, you should stop swaddling the arms. That’s because babies need to be able to push up in case they roll to the tummy and the face is pressing against the mattress. (Always consult your baby’s doctor for their advice.)

Choosing to swaddle your little one with their arms in or out depends on how old your baby is. If you’ve got a young baby, arms-in swaddling is a game-changer for quality sleep. The snug arms-in swaddle best replicates the womb experience, helping to activate Baby’s innate calming reflex that quells crying and brings on sleep. That said, some babies start to get ready for arms-out around 3 to 4 months. (Before then, little ones simply don’t have enough motor control over their arms, so they have a tendency to bonk themselves awake a lot.)
If your baby wakes themselves up when their arms are free, they’re just not ready to transition yet…and that is okay! You want to make sure you go at your baby’s pace. The BIG caveat: If your baby is rolling, you must stop arms-in swaddling immediately. However, if your rolling baby is in Sleepea, you can be comfortable continuing to use it as long as your bub has BOTH arms out—and weighs 26 pounds or less.
Yes! Sleepea is uniquely designed to make weaning from the swaddle easy-peasy. That’s because Sleepea features innovative snaps on each shoulder that allow you to gently pull your baby’s arm through for arms-out sleeping. When you’re ready to transition to arms-out swaddling, it’s best to start with the side your baby favors the most. (Once your baby sleeps well for a few nights with one arm free, you can then let their other arm out.)
Remember, once your baby starts trying to roll over, you need to stop swaddling with both arms down right away, just as the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends. However, even a rolling baby can continue sleeping safely in their Sleepea as long as BOTH arms are out and they don't exceed the max weight limit.
