How SNOO is Helping Liberty’s Hardworking Parents Get the Rest They Need

Liberty is an innovative energy company focused on delivering industry-leading services while fostering a culture of care for its employees. So, for Liberty’s Director of Human Resources, Kaitlin Warner, supporting employees isn’t just about the workplace—it’s about their whole lives, especially when it comes to major life transitions like becoming a parent. As a mom herself, she knows firsthand how transformative those early months with a newborn can be—and how exhausting. That’s why she championed bringing SNOO to Liberty as a company-paid employee benefit.
Discovering SNOO
Kaitlin discovered SNOO when she was expecting her daughter in 2020. Like many first-time parents, she was anticipating those sleepless newborn nights and wanted to make them easier. When she read about SNOO, she was immediately intrigued—especially because she knew she’d have to navigate the additional challenges posed by the pandemic.
“I needed all the help I could get, because I was very isolated from family and friends,” she remembers.
Fortunately, she got the support she needed—right away!
“I absolutely LOVED my SNOO!” Kaitlin shares. “It helped my daughter develop great sleep habits right from the start. By the time I had to go back to work, she was already sleeping through the night.”
Why SNOO Made Sense for Liberty
As a human resources leader, Kaitlin is constantly evaluating employee benefits that will have the greatest impact. When she saw a post about SNOO’s Employee Benefit Program, she saw its potential for Liberty.
“Given how much SNOO helped me, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get involved,” she says. “It’s not just about having an extra hand at home—it’s about ensuring that our babies get safe, quality sleep, which is so important. And on top of that, it’s a great way to support the next generation of Liberty employees by giving them the best start possible.”
Liberty employees work in high-stress, physically demanding roles, often on rotational schedules that require them to be away from home for weeks at a time. For parents, that can create an added layer of stress.
“For the parent who stays behind, managing everything at home—especially at night—can be incredibly challenging,” she explains. “SNOO becomes that ‘extra set of hands,’ helping to share the overnight burden when the other parent is away.”
By helping employees rest, SNOO also contributes to workplace safety and productivity. “When they can rest easy knowing their loved ones are being cared for at home, they can show up to work with a clear mind and the focus they need to do their jobs safely,” Kaitlin adds.
A Perfect Fit for Liberty’s Culture
For Liberty, taking care of employees isn’t just about offering competitive benefits—it’s about making life a little easier for families.
“We truly care about our employees, their families, and their overall well-being—both at work and at home,” Kaitlin says. “The SNOO program is just one example of how we’re focused on making life easier for our team members. Work-life balance matters, and we want our employees to feel supported in every way possible.”
An Overwhelmingly Positive Employee Response
Since launching SNOO as a company-paid benefit, Kaitlin has gotten incredible feedback from employees who report that they’re getting much-needed sleep and their babies are sleeping better.
“I LOVE having access to this amazing benefit. It’s such a relief to rent it for free,” one employee summed up. “The SNOO has really helped my little one sleep well, and I’m so grateful for that. On the flip side, I’m feeling a bit anxious about weaning her off it. As much as it’s been a lifesaver, I HATE that I’ll soon have to figure out life without it!”
A Message to Other HR Leaders
Kaitlin encourages other benefits leaders to consider SNOO as an investment in their workforce’s well-being.
“SNOO can make a huge difference in a new parent’s life. It keeps their little ones safe and gives them those extra hours of sleep, which, as any parent knows, is priceless. It’s a small thing that can have a big impact, helping parents feel more rested and ready to take on whatever comes next—at home or on the job.”
